About
A nurse by training. A companion by choice.
Harebell Home Companions was founded on a simple belief: that the people who need support most deserve consistency, discretion, and genuine care — not a rota of unfamiliar faces.
Background
The person behind Harebell
Harebell Home Companions is led by a registered nurse with a clinical background spanning elderly care, dementia, and complex needs — both within the NHS and the private sector. That breadth of experience means the small signs that something is not quite right are rarely missed.
Nursing provided a thorough grounding in the realities of ageing, illness, and the particular vulnerabilities that come with both. It also made clear what was missing from so much of the care available: time, continuity, and a genuine human connection.
Harebell was founded to fill that gap — not as a clinical service, but as a private companion care arrangement built entirely around the individual. One dedicated companion. One consistent relationship. No rotating teams, no strangers at the door.
Philosophy
What we believe
Consistency above all
Familiarity is not a luxury — it is a foundation. Clients and their families deserve to know exactly who will arrive, and to trust that person completely.
Discretion as standard
Every arrangement is handled with complete confidentiality. The details of a client's life, health, and circumstances remain entirely private.
Attentive, unhurried care
There is no clock to watch and no next appointment to rush to. The focus is entirely on the person in front of us — their comfort, their preferences, and their wellbeing.
Clinical awareness, not clinical care
A nursing background means noticing what others might miss. Harebell does not provide clinical treatment — but that knowledge informs every visit and every interaction.

Important note
What Harebell does not provide
Harebell Home Companions offers private companion care — not clinical treatment. No wound care, medication administration, medical procedures, or clinical assessments are provided. The service is designed to complement, not replace, any clinical care already in place. Clients with clinical needs should ensure those needs are met through the appropriate NHS or private healthcare channels.
